Welcome to the Datchet Border Morris Homepage 2008

We perform dances in the English border morris style (from the
England/Wales border region),
plus a Mummer’s Play and Sword Dance around
Christmas time. We black our faces and wear black and red tatter-coats (<-
see picture!).
We perform mainly for our own enjoyment, and that of our audience, but also to preserve the tradition and to raise money for local charities (last winter - British Lung Foundation).

2008 Programme
We're now mainly back into practice to maybe try to add other dances to our repertoire or to get better at those already in the repertoire. We'll be back out again nearer to Christmas but now's a good time for anybody, that might want to, to get involved. Anyway, here's most of what we did this year
